Zelensky Comments on Call Between US and Russian Leaders
Ukraine will not withdraw its troops from parts of its territory and will not accept Russia's ultimatums. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“In the phone conversation with the US President, I asked him not to make any decisions regarding Ukraine without Ukraine,” he said.
Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine is likely to sign a memorandum with Russia that will lead to a ceasefire agreement. Kyiv will await the Russian version of the memorandum, the Ukrainian president emphasized.
Earlier, it was reported that the phone call between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin has concluded. The call lasted for 2 hours. Putin referred to the conversation with Trump as candid and meaningful.
The Russian President noted what should be included in the peace treaty memorandum. After the conversation with Putin, Trump also made a statement.
