Armenia’s First Resident Embassy to Open in Budapest
The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Hakob Arshakyan, met with members of the Hungarian National Assembly who represent national minorities.
During the meeting, Arshakyan emphasized that strengthening ties between Armenia and Hungary is a key goal in Armenia’s foreign policy agenda. He announced that Armenia's first resident embassy will open in Budapest in the near future.
Arshakyan expressed hope that Hungary will also establish a resident diplomatic representation in Yerevan. “I am confident that based on our shared history, respect for Christian values, and international law, we can explore and realize the existing potential for political dialogue, as well as in the economic and energy sectors—both bilaterally and within multilateral frameworks,” stated Hakob Arshakyan.
