European Troop Deployment in Ukraine Makes No Sense, Macron

Thousands of European troops being deployed on Ukrainian territory makes no sense. This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron in an interview with TF1.

“We are not talking about the deployment of thousands, tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands of European or Western soldiers. It would make no sense,” he said.

At the same time, Macron emphasized that Europe is ready to show its solidarity strategically.

Previously, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barbier announced that participants in the 'volunteers coalition' have made progress in discussions regarding the deployment of military forces to Ukraine, aimed at preventing any aggression against the republic. However, he did not wish to preempt discussions that European military officials are having with the commanders of the Ukrainian armed forces.
