Russia Continues to View Armenia as an Ally – Kopirkin
Russia continues to view Armenia as a fraternal country and an ally, with whom it collaborates closely. It is prepared to build and deepen relations in the future, including in the context of the EAEU's overall integration process. This was stated by the Russian ambassador Sergey Kopirkin during a press briefing with journalists.
According to him, Russia's position on this matter is well known, having been declared multiple times at various levels. In response to a journalist's question about whether recent events have damaged the relations between the two countries, the ambassador noted that one must look at reality and adapt the relations within that reality.
“The important thing is that there is political will and desire from both sides to maintain the solid, deep foundations that exist and to move forward with mutual respect for the sovereignty and interests of both countries,” added Kopirkin.
