Vehicles Collide, Citizen Trapped: Ministry of Emergency Situations

On May 7 at 23:05, the crisis management center of the Armavir regional rescue service received a call informing them that a traffic accident had occurred on Yerevanian Street in the city of Armavir, involving a trapped citizen.

Two fire and rescue teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue service were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that vehicles of makes Opel and Mazda had collided at the intersection of Yerevanian and Border Guards streets.

Before the rescue teams arrived at the scene, passengers of the Opel vehicle were hospitalized. The rescuers used special equipment to extricate the driver of the Opel, who was then taken to the ambulance and also subsequently hospitalized.

The rescuers disabled the vehicles, closed the gas valve of the Opel's gas cylinder, proceeded with cleaning the roadway, and cordoned off the area.
