Pashinyan on Early Elections
I have always been and will continue to be of the opinion that whatever is necessary, the citizens of Armenia will notice. Here we should talk more about our actions, and at least I see my role as having direct and unmediated communication with the citizens of Armenia. I must say that this has never been interrupted. If we look back over the last few years, we will see that every year there are claims that the government and the political majority are preparing for early parliamentary elections. The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, stated this in the National Assembly.
“What these claims were based on is that both I and our other colleagues are actively conducting regional meetings and having direct communications with the citizens. The familiar script is that if an official has direct contact with a citizen, it is direct evidence that the government or political majority is preparing for early elections. However, as before, we are not preparing for early elections; we are busy with our daily work, and communication with citizens is a very important part of that work. Hybrid wars, whatever they may be, cannot erase what we are building. Hundreds of kindergartens have already been built, hundreds of schools are under construction. Roads are also being developed, but hybrids do not benefit from the roads, schools, or kindergartens. Thank you,” said the Prime Minister. More details can be found in the video.
