Armenian Man Dies Following Attack by Russian Nationalists
Neo-Nazis from the "Russian Community" movement raided an apartment in the Leningrad region, resulting in a fire. An Armenian citizen has died, while a girl from Sochi suffered serious injuries from falling out of a window. This was reported by the "Fontanka" publication.
On the night of May 3-4, there were three people in the apartment: a 37-year-old citizen of Armenia, a 24-year-old girl from Sochi, and the 46-year-old son of the apartment’s owner, who has a "criminal past." The investigation claims that they had been consuming alcoholic beverages.
Five unidentified individuals dressed in black, bearing the symbol of the "Russian Community," broke in armed with a gas canister and electric shock devices. They broke down the front door and then barricaded themselves in one of the rooms. A fire broke out in the apartment, covering an area of 26.5 square meters.
The girl, trying to escape, jumped out of the seventh-floor window and sustained spinal fractures, lung injuries, cranial injuries, and burns to her hands. After extinguishing the fire, firefighters discovered the body of the Armenian man in one of the rooms. A preliminary investigation is currently underway.
