Car Burned in Tunnel, Road Becomes One-Way

On May 4, at 11:16 PM, the crisis management center of the Lori regional rescue department received a report that a car was burning in a tunnel on the Vanadzor-Stepanavan highway.
Two firefighting teams and an operational group from the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that a "Nissan" vehicle was burning inside the tunnel located at the 18th km mark of the Vanadzor-Stepanavan highway; fortunately, there were no casualties.
The fire was isolated at 12:05 AM on May 5 and extinguished by 12:45 AM. The vehicle was completely burned.
The tunnel section of the Vanadzor-Stepanavan highway has become one-way traffic only.
