Explosion and Fire in Residential Building: Casualties Reported in Moscow

An explosion occurred in an apartment on the ninth floor of a residential building on General Tyulenyev Street in the southwest of Moscow, leading to a subsequent fire, according to TASS.

The apartment where the explosion took place has been destroyed. "People are being evacuated rapidly from the apartments in the building located in the southwest of the capital," a source from the agency stated.

Later, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations announced that all residents were being evacuated from the building. It has also been confirmed that there are two deceased individuals.

The Investigative Committee of Moscow has verified reports of the explosion. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident. The agency noted that, "after extinguishing the fire, investigators and forensic experts from the Moscow Investigative Committee will begin examining the scene of the incident."
