Armenia Purchases Embassy Building in Brussels, Surprising Pashinyan

On April 30, during a meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan highlighted that the number of foreign embassies in Armenia is increasing, which he noted is significant for enhancing Armenia's international visibility.

Ararat Mirzoyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, announced that a building has been acquired for the embassy in Belgium, which will undergo renovation work. This news caught Pashinyan by surprise. The Foreign Minister reminded that this decision was made by the government.

Pashinyan responded, "But I didn't know it had already happened. If there was a report in the government, then I was not present at that meeting, otherwise I would have remembered."

The meeting also discussed a new project, according to which more than 345,700 USD equivalent to 133,848,500 AMD will be allocated from the Armenian budget for opening an embassy in Oman. The project was approved at the government meeting.
