Crimea Has Passed to the Russians, and Obama Gave It Away: Trump
Crimea will remain with Russia, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky understands this. This was stated by U.S. President Donald Trump in an interview with Time magazine.
“Well, Crimea has passed to the Russians. It was handed over by Barack Hussein Obama, not me. The Russians had submarines there many years ago. The people in Crimea predominantly speak Russian. But it was given by Obama; Trump did not give it. Would they have taken it during my presidency like they did from Obama? No, that would not happen. Crimea would not have been taken if I were president,” said the U.S. president.
In response to a reporter’s question about whether it is acceptable for the U.S. president that Crimea and the other four occupied regions remain with Russia in a final agreement, Trump stated that Crimea will remain with Russia. “Zelensky understands this, and everyone understands that it has long been theirs,” said the U.S. president.
