Armenian Ministry of Defense Issues Statement

The statement from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, claiming that on April 28 at 00:25, the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire towards Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern part of the border zone, does not correspond to reality.

It is recalled that the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia proposed the establishment of a joint mechanism to investigate cases of ceasefire violations and/or information regarding them, to which Azerbaijan has not yet responded.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms its readiness to investigate the facts supporting the statement from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, should these be presented to Armenia.
