Fire in One of the U.S. States Forces Evacuations

In Ocean County, New Jersey, 3,000 residents have been evacuated due to a forest fire. This information was reported by the state's forest fire service.

According to the agency's publication, the forest fire has covered approximately 1,300 hectares of land. It has the potential to destroy over 1,300 structures. So far, only 5% of the area has been brought under control.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
