New Gold Commemorative Coin to Be Issued
On April 21, 2025, the Central Bank of Armenia will release the "Gerard L. Gafeshtian-100" gold commemorative coin into circulation.
The obverse features a monument symbolizing the collective image of the Armenian benefactor ("Alley of Armenian Benefactors" memorial, designed by F. Arakelyan), along with the inscriptions "GRATITUDE" and "ERAKHTAPARTUTYUN".
The reverse displays a portrait of Gerard L. Gafeshtian and an image of the jewelry piece "Circus Parade in Park City" (created by M. Riker).
The sketches were made by Harutun Samuelian (obverse) and Vardan Vardanyan (reverse).
The coin is minted at the Polish Mint.
