One Cannot Trust His Words: Andrey Sibigay
Ukraine's stance remains clear and consistent: we unequivocally agreed to the full temporary ceasefire proposed by the United States for 30 days on March 11 in Jeddah. This was stated by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrey Sibigay on social media.
“Russia rejected it, and Russia's rejection has lasted for 39 days. Instead, the Moscow regime has set forth various conditions and intensified terrorism against Ukraine, the civilian population, and civilian infrastructure throughout the country. Now Putin has made statements about his supposed willingness for a ceasefire. 30 hours instead of 30 days. Unfortunately, we have a long history of his statements not matching his actions. We know that one cannot trust his words, and we will look at the actions, not the words,” he noted.
“Russia can agree at any moment to the proposed 30-day full and unconditional ceasefire that has been on the table since March. We want Russian troops to genuinely cease fire in all directions. We also call on all our partners and the international community to remain vigilant,” he added.
