Most of Armenia to Be in a Negative Anomaly Zone, Says Azizyan
The Director of the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center, Levon Azizyan, has presented the qualitative forecasts of temperature and precipitation for the upcoming 14 days (by weeks) based on the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF).
According to the forecasts, the air temperature for our region is expected to be 3-6 degrees Celsius above normal from April 21 to April 28, and from April 28 to May 5, it is expected to be 1-3 degrees above normal, with central regions experiencing 3-6 degrees above normal.
From April 21 to April 28, precipitation is forecasted to be 10-30% above normal in the northern and central regions, while in the remaining areas, it will be below normal. From April 28 to May 5, most of Armenia is expected to fall into a negative anomaly zone, indicating below-normal precipitation.
