Israel Offers the U.S. Attack Options
Israel could carry out limited strikes on Iranian nuclear infrastructure in the coming months, according to Reuters. The report indicates that Israel has presented several options for attacks to the U.S., including airstrikes and special operations. These strikes could take place in late spring or summer of 2025.
The objective would be to deprive Tehran of the opportunity to transition to military use of nuclear capabilities for a period ranging from several months to a year.
Israel had previously planned to strike Iran's nuclear sites in May, confident that the U.S. would play an active role in the preparation for the attack and protect the Jewish state from potential Iranian retaliation. However, U.S. President Donald Trump has taken a diplomatic approach to resolving differences with Iran and informed Israel in early April that he would not support such military operations.
