We Understand This Perfectly: Lavrov
Russia understands the difference between mutually beneficial agreements with the United States and a different trap that could lead the country into dependency. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in an interview with the Kommersant newspaper.
According to the minister, today, when Moscow is offered normal deals, they are perceived in a "good sense." “We understand perfectly what a mutually beneficial agreement looks like, which we have never rejected, and what an agreement looks like that could put us into another trap,” said the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The minister noted that it was not in vain that Russian President Vladimir Putin, during his speech at the height of the special military operation, stated that they have learned their lessons, and that things will never be as they were before February 2022.
