Armenian Army to Establish New Positions, Ministry of Defense Announces

The Armed Forces will establish new positions for the chief of staff sergeant, corps sergeant, and staff sergeant. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Defense, Arman Sargsyan, during a meeting of the National Assembly's Defense and Security Committee.

“The study of the sergeant systems in Western states and European armies has shown that the sergeant system includes the staff, army branches, and corps sergeants who oversee the actions of lower-level sergeants and ensure the command hierarchy of the sergeant system. Our legislative aim is to complete the actions aimed at establishing a professional sergeant system,” Sargsyan stated.
