Tear Gas and Dozens Injured at Famous Museum in Hamburg
An unknown individual released tear gas in the Miniatur Wunderland museum building in Hamburg, resulting in 46 injuries. This was reported by DPA, referencing a representative from the emergency services.
According to the news outlet, firefighters evacuated approximately 1,000 visitors from the museum. A total of 46 people were injured, with one being transported to the hospital. Earlier, the police had reported 42 injured individuals who sustained minor injuries and respiratory irritation. About half an hour later, visitors were allowed to re-enter the building.
DPA notes that it is still unclear who released the tear gas.
It is worth mentioning that Miniatur Wunderland is considered the largest model railway exhibition in the world and one of Hamburg's most popular tourist destinations. The museum welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors from various countries each year.
