79 Dead and 155 Injured in Dominican Republic; Over 100 People Trapped Under Rubble

In the Dominican Republic, a roof collapse at a nightclub has resulted in multiple casualties. During a concert by Ruby Perez in Santo Domingo, the roof of the 'Jet Set' club collapsed.

Current reports indicate that 79 people have died and over 150 have been injured. Approximately 100 individuals remain trapped beneath the rubble.

Among the deceased is a musician and a government official; however, the singer himself is unharmed. Rescue teams are currently on site working to save those trapped.

The cause of the incident has not yet been determined. Around a thousand people were present at the concert.
