Eco-Inspector Service Launched in Syunik

The Eco-Inspector Service has commenced its operations in Kapan, Syunik, as a new model for environmental protection. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in the inaugural ceremony of the newly established Eco-Inspector Service's regional department for Syunik in the city of Kapan. He stated that the establishment and operation of the service stem not only from the need to address environmental issues but also from the necessity to transform the state's attitude.

“This is not just infrastructure; it is a change in our attitude towards nature, forests, wildlife, and generally towards state institutions,” said the Prime Minister. He emphasized that the Eco-Inspector Service employees have new powers and technical equipment, but alongside this, they must also demonstrate high levels of responsibility.

Pashinyan noted that this initiative is ongoing and that similar services will be established in all regions of Armenia in the near future, ensuring around-the-clock monitoring of forests. To enhance the service's effectiveness, approximately 660 million AMD has been allocated from the state budget, while international partners have provided over 64 million AMD in support.

At the conclusion of the event, vehicles equipped with technology acquired for the service were showcased, highlighting the practical aspects of the new environmental system.
