Preliminary Results from 81 of 82 Polling Stations in Gyumri
The Central Electoral Commission has summarized the preliminary results from all 82 polling stations in Gyumri. According to the preliminary results of the local government extraordinary elections held on March 30, 2025, none of the 9 participating forces were able to gather more than 50% of the votes required to form a government.
As per the CEC data, 47,443 out of 111,271 eligible voters participated in the election, which constitutes 42.63%. A total of 624 ballots were deemed invalid.
The preliminary results from the CEC are as follows:
- Republican Party - 17,183 votes or 36.21%
- Communist Party of Armenia - 9,727 votes or 20.5%
- Country of Living Party - 1,694 votes or 3.5%
- Mother Armenia Political Alliance - 2,902 votes or 6.11%
- Socialist Workers' Party of Armenia - 651 votes or 1.3%
- Euro-Alliance Political Coalition - 2,111 votes or 4.44%
- Democratic Alternative Party - 1,406 votes or 2.9%
- Our City Political Alliance - 7,380 votes or 15.5%
- My Powerful Community Party - 3,834 votes or 8.08%
It is noteworthy that the electoral threshold is 4% for political parties and 6% for political alliances. Hence, the following forces have surpassed the threshold:
- The Republican Party, led by Sarik Minasyan,
- The Communist Party of Armenia, headed by former Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan,
- The Our City Political Alliance, led by Martun Grigoryan, an MP from the National Assembly’s
