Nikol Pashinyan on the Likelihood of New Escalation

If there were no trust issues, the peace treaty would have been signed long ago, or there would be no need for a peace agreement. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, in an interview with Public Television, addressing whether a new escalation is possible.

"Our view is that the peace agenda should be advanced and implemented, which means facing all the complexities and trying to solve and address those complexities," said the Prime Minister, emphasizing that, in essence, we have a document that is acceptable to both Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The Prime Minister noted that escalation in our region has no basis, pointing out that the flow of news about escalation aims to obscure the real news. "The real news is that the text of the peace agreement has been agreed upon and is awaiting signing," the Prime Minister said.
