U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed his expectation of soon reaching a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine. He made this statement during a press conference at the White House.

“We hope that we will be able to come to an agreement on the cessation of hostilities with Russia and Ukraine in a relatively short time,” Trump noted.

Earlier, talks between Russian and American delegations took place in Istanbul, lasting approximately five hours and thirty minutes.
