US Ready to Use Military Force Against Iran, Trump Says

The United States is prepared to use military force against Iran if necessary. This was stated by President Donald Trump during a press conference at the White House, according to Associated Press.

“If it is necessary, absolutely, yes,” he said in response to a question.

Trump noted that upcoming consultations with Iran in Oman would only be the beginning of a lengthy process. “We have little time, we have little time, because we will not let them obtain nuclear weapons. I am not asking for much; they cannot have nuclear weapons,” said the US president, adding, “But with Iran, yes, if military operations are required, we will undertake them. It is clear that Israel will be heavily involved in this. They will lead in this matter. But no one is leading us. We do what we want.”

He emphasized that Israel could lead the potential military action against Iran if both sides fail to reach an agreement regarding the nuclear program.
