US Ambassador in Ukraine Resigns

US Ambassador Bridget Brink is leaving her post in Ukraine.

The US State Department has confirmed that Bridget Brink, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United States to Ukraine, is stepping down. Reports about her departure had previously circulated in several American media outlets. According to Reuters, the ambassador’s resignation could introduce further uncertainty in the relations between Washington and Kyiv.

Sources indicate that Brink has submitted her resignation voluntarily. She took on the role of the US Ambassador to Ukraine in May 2022, having been nominated by President Joe Biden.
