Teenager's Body Displayed in Chechnya: Peskov on Recent Events
Reports regarding the display of a teenager's body in Chechnya have only come from opposition media, and the Russian authorities do not rely on these sources, said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian president.
“Of course, we would not want to base our information on data disseminated by opposition channels; we do not consider these sources reliable. We have no other information,” Peskov stated while responding to reporters' questions about the body of the teenager who attacked traffic police in Achkhoy-Martan, Chechnya.
It is worth recalling that the body of the 17-year-old who attacked police officers in Chechnya was displayed in public. Eskerhan Khumashov had attacked the police with a knife on April 7, killing one officer, while the other sustained injuries and returned fire, resulting in the minor's death.
