New Decision on Women's Involvement in the Armed Forces
In response to the need to address the issues related to the establishment of the sergeant system in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, the staffing of personnel operating special engineering equipment, the involvement of personnel in the training units in the training process, and the enhancement of the qualification levels of women in the battalion, the government has adopted a decision.
Currently, significant efforts are being made in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia to introduce a new system of professional sergeants and instructors and to conduct training courses for sergeants and instructors in order to fill the respective positions. At the same time, the level of staffing for women and units operating engineering equipment remains low, which affects their ability to operate effectively.
The decision clarifies the scale of additions for personnel operating special engineering equipment, establishes supplements for personnel directly involved in the training process in training units, women service members assigned to service in the women's battalion, those who have completed sergeant or instructor courses and hold the relevant qualifications, and conscripts studying in military educational institutions of foreign states (excluding the Russian Federation) without receiving scholarships.
