It's a Shock for Many Countries: Zakharova

The imposition of tariffs by the U.S. on several countries is one of the traditional ways to conduct business for them. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, on Telegram.

“Response tariffs have already increased in one day. Negotiations are serious. For states, this is one of the traditional ways to do business. It is a shock for many countries,” she noted.

On April 2, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the imposition of tariffs on products from 185 countries and territories. Universal tariffs of 10% came into effect on April 5, while individual tariffs will start on April 9. Additionally, the U.S. administration has imposed a 25% tariff on all imported cars starting from April 3.
