Iranian Citizens Smuggle Large Amount of Drugs into Armenia

The Armenian Revenue Committee (ARC) continues its principled fight against the harmful effects of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, as well as cases of illegal trafficking and smuggling. This was stated in a recent statement issued by the ARC.

“A particularly large quantity of 'methamphetamine' weighing approximately 12 kg has been identified, smuggled from Iran into Armenia. In the framework of the criminal proceedings, petitions have been submitted to the court to detain two Iranian citizens, which have been granted,” the statement noted.
