Avinyan on Doctor's Death Following Accident

Today, an ambulance service brigade was involved in a traffic accident. It is regrettable to report that the doctor died at the scene. This was stated by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan on his Facebook page.

“The loss of a dedicated professional is irretrievable. I extend my deepest condolences to his family. The other member of the brigade, a nurse, is currently in the hospital. After life-threatening injuries, she underwent surgery, and doctors are assessing her condition as critical. The driver is also in the hospital with minor injuries,” wrote Avinyan.

Let us remind you that a tragic incident occurred early this morning: an ambulance vehicle was involved in an accident in Yerevan. Armenian Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan reported that the doctor had died, the nurse had been operated on, and her health condition is assessed as critical. Yerevan Mayor's spokesperson Hayk Kostanyan noted that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
