Trump Notes Conditions Under Which Conflict Would Not Have Started

US President Donald Trump has stated that Washington continues negotiations with Moscow regarding the resolution of the Ukraine conflict, but he does not approve of the "bombing" of the republic by Russian armed forces. His comments were reported by the Associated Press during a conversation with journalists aboard Air Force One.

"We are talking to Russia, we would like them to stop. I don’t like bombings. The bombings are continuing and continuing," Trump said.

He pointed out the significant losses incurred in the conflict and reiterated that the conflict would not have started if he had been president earlier.
