US and Saudi Arabia Prepare Operation Against Houthis, CNN Reports

The United States and Saudi Arabia are preparing a ground operation against the Houthi movement (Ansar Allah) in Yemen, potentially involving naval forces, according to CNN sources.

“Regional diplomatic sources have reported that preparations are underway for a ground operation that will start from the south and east, as well as along the coast. The coordinated attack could also include naval support from Saudi Arabia and the US in an attempt to retake the port of Hodeidah,” the broadcaster stated.

US President Donald Trump instructed military officials on March 15 to undertake “decisive and powerful” actions against the Houthi movement in Yemen. The US Central Command has announced that it has begun a large-scale operation to protect American interests. Media reports indicate that Washington is also preparing to launch significant strikes against Iran.
