Europe Drives the Planet to the Brink of Abyss, Says Matviyenko

European countries, which have already sparked two world wars, are once again bringing the planet to the brink of an abyss. This was stated by the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of Russia, Valentina Matviyenko.

"Europe, which is the source of two world wars, is again leading the planet to the edge of the abyss. Developing countries are becoming hostages of such politics; the imposition of sanctions and the destruction of supply chains negatively impact the global economy and deepen the situation related to food," she said.

At the beginning of April, former CIA employee Larry Johnson stated that Europe desires to unleash conflict with Russia, arguing that it lacks both means and resources to conduct a war. Johnson noted that the intentions of the leaders of EU countries demonstrate that history has not led to any significant change.
