Vilen Gabrielyan Resigns from Parliamentary Mandate
Dear compatriots, I have a clear conviction that a culture of political responsibility plays a key role in political processes, and for that, it requires the corresponding will and determination, which I have always possessed. This was stated by Vilen Gabrielyan, a member of the Armenian National Assembly from the Civil Contract party, on his Facebook page.
Last Sunday, I consider the incidents involving my participation in Gyumri to be unsuitable for the conduct of a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia. An MP must not exhibit inappropriate behavior in their mission. Accordingly, I publicly ask for your forgiveness and officially declare that I am resigning from my parliamentary mandate. I will submit the application today in the stipulated manner to the assembly's staff.
At the same time, I would like to announce that from this moment on, I am self-nominating as a candidate for the upcoming board elections of the Civil Contract party, as it is clear to me that our party needs significant revitalization and transformation. As Sevak says, for the sake of tomorrow's truth, let me be wrong today.
Be vigilant, calm, balanced, strong, and resilient. Thank you for your attention.
Respectfully,
Vilen Gabrielyan, MP
