New Investigation Launched Against Marine Le Pen in France
French authorities have initiated a new investigation against Marine Le Pen, the leader of the far-right National Rally party, who was found guilty just yesterday of embezzlement of European Parliament funds, reports AFP, citing judicial sources.
According to the statement, "The new investigation has been launched following threats directed at the judges of the Paris Criminal Court." It is specified that this concerns the judges who sentenced Marine Le Pen to a five-year ban from voting, which will come into effect immediately.
