Alen Simonian's Statement on Vilen Gabrielyan's Resignation

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, made a statement regarding the resignation application of National Assembly member Vilen Gabrielyan.

According to Article 155, Part 1 of the Constitutional Law on the “Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly,” Vilen Gabrielyan submitted his resignation application on April 1, 2025.

According to Article 155, Part 2 of the same law, if the member withdraws their resignation in writing within one week after the announcement, the Speaker of the National Assembly issues a statement regarding that. If the resignation is not withdrawn, a protocol regarding the cessation of their powers is prepared and signed by the Speaker of the National Assembly and published. The resignation is considered accepted from the moment of the protocol's publication.
