Five Young Men Stabbed and Hospitalized, One Dead

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on March 29 at 18:50, the law enforcement center of Kotayk region received a report that five young men had been hospitalized with stab wounds, one of whom was unconscious.

At 21:18, the hospital reported that 21-year-old Rubik Kh. had died, following a diagnosis of a "penetrating chest wound, lung and heart injury." The documents have been forwarded to the investigative department, where criminal proceedings have been initiated.

As a result of joint operations by the Regional Department of Criminal Police in Kotayk and the Charentsavan Community Police Division, it was determined that a group of young men had attacked each other with hands, feet, and various objects during a dispute near one of the restaurants in Charentsavan.

During this altercation, Rubik Kh. stabbed and injured a 21-year-old compatriot, after which another participant in the dispute, a 22-year-old man, stabbed Rubik Kh. in the chest, leading to his death in the hospital. The 22-year-old also inflicted stab wounds on three other participants in the dispute.

As a result of the measures taken, the participants of the brawl have been presented to the investigative body. The 22-year-old and a 26-year-old resident of Artanish village in Gegharkunik have been arrested and taken to the detention center. A public criminal prosecution has been initiated against the 22-year-old for charges of murder, causing serious bodily harm, and causing moderate bodily harm. The criminal proceedings continue.
