‘It’s an audacious lie’: Narek Mkrtchyan

Mariam Z.

This is the home of the ruling party candidate Lyudvig Gyulnazaryan, and I have come here. This was stated by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, Narek Mkrtchyan, in an interview with NEWS.am today, March 30, in the Parakar community.

In response to reports that people are being brought to the election in cars, specifically mentioning a white ‘Camry’, the minister remarked, ‘Why don’t you hand over that information to the police? You should definitely provide it.’

Regarding the presence of large numbers of people near Gyulnazaryan's house, he said, ‘It’s family, relatives. I live here too, have you forgotten that I am from this community? I came to see how Gyulnazaryan is feeling. His mood is combative.’

One of the journalists noted that there is talk that he himself is protecting criminals in the Armavir region, with residents of the city claiming that he has divided the entire Mrdzavan into two parts. Mkrtchyan initially expressed surprise upon hearing this, then added, ‘It’s an audacious lie.’ He stated that Lyudvig Gyulnazaryan has no connection to criminal activities. ‘Law enforcement agencies have assessed the situation,’ he noted.
