Papikyan on Gunfire along the Border

The Minister of Defense, Suren Papikyan, has addressed the gunfire heard near the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in Syunik. He noted that there are instances of gunfire along the border, which, however, do not pose a threat to the republic.

"These are cases that do not constitute a danger and therefore do not warrant an announcement from our side," he stated.

According to him, the Ministry of Defense is closely monitoring the situation. "The solution to this issue lies in diplomatic means, and that is how we envision and implement the resolution of the matter," he added.
