EU Expands Sanctions Against Belarus
The European Union has expanded its personal sanctions against Belarus in connection with the Ukrainian conflict. This was reported in a relevant document published in the EU's official journal.
The list of restrictions now includes 25 individuals and seven organizations. Specifically, the sanctions affect the Central Election Commission of Belarus, along with its personnel, including Deputy Chairman Alexei Bhashan and Secretary Elena Baldovskaya, as well as members of the Republican CEC.
Also included in the sanctions are judges, entrepreneurs, and heads of Belarusian enterprises. Among the organizations listed are: OOO Tsybulka-bel, RPUP Precise Electromechanics Plant, OAO Planar, OOO Ridotto, Belorusskie Loterei, and OAO Integral.
The EU's personal sanctions include the freezing of assets of the accused within the union and a travel ban to EU member states.
