Ukrainian Budget Insufficient, Says Zelensky
Mariam Z.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated in an interview with American magazine Time that Ukraine's budget is insufficient to fund the needs of its armed forces, and thus Kyiv is relying on European support.
"The army has always been smaller than it is now. And when the army is three times larger than it used to be, it needs to be funded. Ukraine's budget will not be enough," he said.
According to him, there should be specific programs for allocating resources for the Ukrainian army. "Europe should finance them. Ideally, Europe and America. But under the current circumstances, I would place more hope on Europe," Zelensky emphasized.
