Armenian Ministry of Defense Issues Statement

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense's statement that from March 18 at 22:20 to March 19 at 01:40, the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire towards Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern and southeastern sections of the border is not true.

It is worth noting that the Government of the Republic of Armenia has proposed to establish a joint mechanism for investigating cases of violations of the ceasefire regime and/or any relevant information, to which Azerbaijan has not yet responded.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms that in accordance with the position of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, it is ready to investigate the facts supporting the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense's statement, should they be provided to Armenia.

At this moment, the Republic of Azerbaijan has not provided any factual data or justification to the Republic of Armenia regarding violations of the ceasefire regime by the Armenian Armed Forces.
