Russia will require clear guarantees for the resumption of the Black Sea Initiative, which can only result from Washington issuing orders to Zelensky, stated Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“At present, Russia does not trust the words coming from Kyiv. The U.S. has heard the signal about Russian guarantees and understands that they alone can contribute to the cessation of terrorism and attacks from Kyiv,” said Lavrov.
Lavrov also noted that Moscow would not tolerate any ambiguity regarding proposals around the Black Sea: “The Russian delegation in Riyadh has informed the U.S. that Moscow will not tolerate any ambiguity concerning proposals around the Black Sea,” Lavrov concluded.
