Trump Proposed Initiative Accepted by Putin, Says Peskov

Russia and the USA still need to work out many aspects regarding the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“Essentially, there is a common understanding of the countries’ desire and willingness to move towards a peaceful resolution. As for the technical issues, I should mention that discussions are taking place today in Riyadh between our and the American delegations regarding one of the topics,” said Peskov.

Peskov also added that the initiative regarding the safety of navigation in the Black Sea was proposed by US President Donald Trump, which was accepted by Russian President Vladimir Putin. “This is precisely the mandate under which our delegation has gone to Riyadh,” he noted.
