You Are Building a State in Someone Else's Territory: Zakharova

The Kyiv regime is systematically taking steps to erase the identity of the Russian people, making them forget their language, culture, history, and religion. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“Let's talk about the document; as the explanatory note shows, its creators are concerned that extracurricular communication is taking place in educational institutions in what they call the language of the 'aggressor country'—Russian. According to the Ukrainian side, this poses a threat to state security. What does this state represent if you are disturbed by monuments, the names of cities and streets, and the language spoken by the people around you? You are clearly building a state on someone else's territory. The points I mentioned fully pertain to the Kyiv regime,” the diplomat said.

Zakharova added that the Ukrainian authorities, living off Western grants, have decided to destroy everything. “They are destroying their own citizens, forbidding them from speaking their native language, praying in their native church, and honoring the memory of their ancestors; this can only be described as occupation,” Zakharova noted.
