The 'Apricot' Supermarket Chain Has a New Owner
The 'Apricot' supermarket chain operating in Yerevan and the regions has a new owner. 'Hetq' has learned that the supermarkets have been acquired by businessman Narek Nalbandyan, who also owns the '88' supermarket chain. A total of 22 supermarkets operate under the 'Apricot' brand.
The transaction took place in February 2025. The supermarkets are operated by 'Apricot Market' LLC. Before the deal, 100% of the company's shares belonged to the chain's founder, Aram Harutyunyan, while starting from February 24, the shares are owned by Armen Margaryan, registered in the village of Argely in Kotayk Province.
Although Narek Nalbandyan's name is not mentioned in the legal entity registry for the LLC, 'Hetq' learned that the true owner of the company is Narek.
