Russia and the USA Do Not Plan High-Level Contacts, Says Peskov
Russia and the USA are currently not planning high-level contacts, but these plans can be quickly changed if necessary, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, as reported by TASS.
“The results of the talks between Russia and the USA in Riyadh have been reported to Moscow and Washington, and they are currently being analyzed. Regarding the substance, I should note that it will not be published, as the communications were technical in nature,” Peskov said.
Citing the death of a journalist due to a shelling by the Ukrainian armed forces, Peskov stated, “Ukraine proves by its actions that we are not the aggressor or the instigator. The claim that there was fire is false; they specifically wanted to kill that journalist,” he noted. It is reported that Alexander Fedorchakin, a correspondent for the newspaper Izvestia, was killed by shelling from Ukraine.
