Shooting at Gas Station in Armavir Region: One Fatality
On March 22, shortly after midnight, gunfire erupted at a gas station owned by Ashot Mirzoyan, the father-in-law of Vagharsapat community leader Diana Gasparyan. Arthur Paronyan, 36, sustained gunshot wounds and died without regaining consciousness at a medical facility, as confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
A 33-year-old man, known by the nickname 'Jap', is suspected of the murder. According to sources, several months earlier, A. Paronyan had an argument with Aramayis Mirzoyan, a member of the Vagharsapat council and Diana Gasparyan's husband, which left significant traces.
On that day, the police received a report that a man with a gunshot wound was taken to the hospital. Through operational-search measures implemented by the Criminal Police of the Armavir Regional Department and the Community Police of the Vagharsapat Division, the crime was solved within hours. The police determined that around 1:30 AM on March 22, during a dispute among a group of individuals at a gas station located at the beginning of the Artimet village in Armavir region, the 33-year-old man fired shots at Arthur Paronyan, who subsequently died without regaining consciousness at the medical facility.
